It is a monitor.
No, not even that.
It is a blank screen.

Angels We Have Heard On High — Latin, English, Klingon

(LATIN)    Lapsi caelo super nos

Lapsi caelo super nos,
properate, angeli,
Nobis nuntiate vos
natum nostri Domini!
Gloria, in excelsis Deo!
Gloria, in excelsis Deo!

Cur pastores iubilant?
Unde haec tot carmina
Dum per noctem vigilant?
Unde illa lumina?
Gloria, in excelsis Deo!
Gloria, in excelsis Deo!

“Ite visum, populi,
Novum regem hominum!
Adorate, populi,
adorate Dominum!”
Gloria, in excelsis Deo!
Gloria, in excelsis Deo!

(ENGLISH)    Angels We Have Heard On High

Angels we have heard on high
Sweetly singing o’er the plains,
And the mountains in reply
Echoing their joyous strains.
Gloria, in excelsis Deo!
Gloria, in excelsis Deo!

Shepherds, why this jubilee?
Why your joyous strains prolong?
What the gladsome tidings be
Which inspire your heavenly song?
Gloria, in excelsis Deo!
Gloria, in excelsis Deo!

Come to Bethlehem and see
Him whose birth the angels sing;
Come, adore on bended knee,
Christ the Lord, the newborn King.
Gloria, in excelsis Deo!
Gloria, in excelsis Deo!

(KLINGON)   nuQanjaj vIQoypu’ maH jenwI’

I’m dreaming of a Star Trek Christmas

The Work of Christmas by Howard Thurman

When the song of angels is stilled, when the star in the sky is gone, when the kings and princes are home, when the shepherds are back with their flock, the work of Christmas begins:

To find the lost, to heal the broken, to feed the hungry, to release the prisoner, to rebuild the nations, to bring peace among the people, to make music in the heart.

May it be so.

The Work of the Enterprise a la Captain Jean-Luc Piccard  (really Larry Leonard)

When the hum of the warp core is stilled, when the astrometrics display is gone, when the Romulans and the Ferengi are home, when the Borg are back with their drones, the work of self-diagnostics begins:

To find the Preservers, to heal the Cardassians, to feed Sherman’s planet, to release the miners of Marak II, to rebuild Bajor, to bring peace among the Federation, to make music in the “tlhIngan loD”

Make it so.
Now that’s Christmas in the Alpha Quadrant!

PHYSICS: The beginning of the latest end – English, Klingon

(English)

All things have a beginning and an end.
Even if the experience is in parts – each part has a beginning and an end.
When you reach the end, it is the next part’s beginning.
When you reach the final end, it is a new journey that is beginning.
You never stop beginning, even if you stop.

(Klingon)
