Old world wisdom, new world insight – poems, poetry, philosophy, dreams, commentary, ideas

Faith turns out to be enough for a thinker.
Acts turn out to be much more for the doer.

Give a hand in need.

We demand justice when people are selfish,
but cry for mercy when we ourselves stumble?

Give sympathy.

For a moment’s desire to kiss the sky
a lot of prayers are said on bent knees.

Give yourself daily quiet time.

Concentrate on what you want
and you will get your share, alone, at the top.

Give yourself a new dream.

Engage in helping others
and you will get crowds of thankful people.

Give time for empathy.

A black light bounces off the white specs
while a white light clings to the dark shadows until they fade away.

Give support so others can heal.

It is okay to take when you take time to give.
